The Grief Baby was born under the unfortunate circumstances that come after losing a loved one. Although the feeble plushie became a symbol of exhaustion, anger, misuse and abandonment, I attempted to convey a sense of humor through playful exaggeration of its features in order to devictimize and make light of an otherwise tragic figure.
Since then, my Babies have evolved in multiple areas of their being. They have turned into different animals and sometimes different objects altogether. I have even allowed them to experience joy as they continue to grow and change with me.
