Sarah Ferber is a 23-year-old visual artist situated in Southern California. In 2005 she moved to New Mexico where she recieved her BFA in studio arts from College of Santa Fe. In 2010 She spent 7 months in Honolulu, Hawaii where she apprenticed under Polynesian tattoo artist RiccyBoy Novera Jr.
Art has been an integral part of her existence for as long as she can remember, her love of which led her to pursue it in college. Ferber draws on a wide array of inspirations, but of recent has placed a great emphasis on utilizing internal distortions of imagery to depict aspects of her emotional landscape she would otherwise have trouble explaining. "I make art as a means of connecting with others, while at the same time telling my own individual story," she says. As you will note, her story is complex and multi-faceted, beautifully executed with a graceful balance of horror, humor, and love.
